What is the minimum number of officers a company requires?
In simple terms only one. If your company
was formed after 6 April 2008 or your articles of association
are correct then you only need one company director. The
requirement to have a separate company secretary was removed.
However, do not resign your secretary from the company without
checking your company documents first.
In order to set up a new limited company you need at least
one director. A company's sole director can also be the
company secretary. However, many people prefer to appoint
a company secretary to take care of filing documents with
Companies House. If required SFS can provide a nominee secretary
which can assist you with some of the company's administration.
