Founder of Egg to Speak at Coventry Business Event

Richard Duvall, the founder of Egg – the world’s largest and most successful digital bank – will be speaking at B2B Midlands at the Ricoh Arena in October. This is the man described by Microsoft boss Bill Gates as ‘one of the most dynamic people he has ever met’.

Bob Geldof has already been announced as a keynote speaker at B2B Midlands and Duvall’s addition to the bill highlights the organisers’ opinion that it is a must-visit event for all small and medium-sized enterprises in the region.

Bron Ellis, of B2B Portfolio, said: “We are thrilled that Richard Duvall is confirmed as a keynote speaker as I can think of few more inspirational individuals in the modern business world.

Free to visitors; the event is expected to attract around 250 exhibitors on October 10 and 11.

“We are determined to make this the premier business event in the Midlands and our commitment to signing up the very best business people to speak at B2B Midlands could not be underlined any better.”

Duvall led the team that created the Egg concept and was the launch director as well as chief marketing officer.

He has overseen the exponential growth of the ground-breaking business and has now launched Zopa – an on-line exchange that allows borrowers and lenders to deal with each other on terms of their own choosing.

It is all part of Duvall’s theory that consumers want a much more personalised service that match their individual requirements.

He has developed a number of articles and a book predicting how the new indie culture will shape business and society for the next 20 years.

Bron added: “B2B is not just about the speakers it is all about giving companies the best chance to meet under one roof and actually do business.

“And as it’s free to all visitors we are sure that there will be thousands of business people along over the course of two days who are all potential clients and customers.”

“The lunch will be a more private opportunity for business people to hear from and glean information from Richard Duvall,” said Bron.

“He is a great speaker and we believe the lunch event is going to be very popular as it is also a superb networking opportunity.”

The event is run by B2B Portfolio in conjunction with the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce.

Free to visitors; the event is expected to attract around 250 exhibitors on October 10 and 11.
