to communicate via email even if you do not believe you
need a website. We would however recommend you consider
the following points when deciding what is best for you
and your business.

Should you register your domain name
and email address now?
We strongly recommend you register your domain name at
the time of incorporation for the following reasons -
- Secure the domain name that is the same as your new
company name if it is available. Don't risk it being taken
by the time you get around to it.
- Business stationery can be created with email addresses
and website address immediately - no costly amendments
to business cards at a later date!
- Your business image will be greatly improved if you
operate using your own domain name rather than an email
address provided by your internet service provider. For
example, if we register your company called NEWCO LIMITED
and you use your BT internet email address newco@btinternet.com
your clients immediately know you do not have your own
domain name or website. By registering the domain name
newco.co.uk you can use an email address such as sales@newco.co.uk
- A simple one page website can be created until you are
ready to arrange a more comprehensive website.
What are SFS offering?
The simplest and most popular option is to start by registering
a .co.uk domain name of your choice for 2 years. We also
provide 12 months web hosting so that you can have unlimited
email addresses and also have space to create a website.

The web hosting will need to be renewed each year at an
approximate cost of £60 + vat and the domain name
renewed every two years at an approximate cost of £15
+ vat

If you register a domain name without web hosting it can
prove very difficult to upload the website you have designed.
Please note this package does not include a website. A
one page site can be created for a one off fee of £50
+ vat and will include your company contact details, an
email link, one image provided by you (i.e. your logo) and
a brief statement about the company.
Website
Marketing and design
You do not necessarily require a large site. In fact even
a one, two or three page site is sufficient to get you on
your way. The beauty of a website is that it can be easily
modified or built upon.
Your own website need not cost you a fortune.
We can provide you with the 'Basic Internet Package' for
only £95 + vat.
We can build a website for you for as little as £150 + vat.
Total cost would be: £245 + vat
The Basic Internet
Package!
The basic elements you need to give yourself a presence
on, and access to, the internet |
Domain name |
This could be the name of your company, or a name
that reflects the business you are in. for example,
your company may be Jones & Smith Ltd and you
are accountants.
You could choose a domain name like:
www.jones-and-smith.co.uk or
www.expert-accountants.co.uk.
You would normally purchase the rights to this domain
for a 2 year period. |
Web space
|
You need web space to hold your web site. Generally
this is purchased from a host on an annual basis.
You need very little space for a website with less
than 20 pages. |

E-mail facilities |
This usually comes within the web space package.
It enables you to send (and receive) e-mails using
your domain name.
For example:
john@jones-and-smith.co.uk or
john@expert-accountants.co.uk.
This is important in attempting to put over an image
of a 'solid' business, and particularly so in your
early set-up period. |
Internet connection (via an Internet Service Provider
or ISP) |
You need to dial up to the internet. There are
a multitude of packages available where you only pay
for the price of a local 'phone call. We actually
use an ISP that charges us 1p per minute, no matter
what time of day or night. |

We can provide you with all the above for only £95
+ vat per year.
This includes our assistance in helping you set this

have put together a small set of packages that should

Single Page Website |
Package involves:
- Initial telephone consultation.
- A one page web site.
- The inclusion of four or five photographs or images
(you provide the copy and images).
- We register your web site with the major 12 international
search engines and 8 uk search engines.
Cost: £150 + vat
For the additional service of fine-tuning the page
for the search engines.
Cost: £80 + vat |
