offering DIY incorporation packs, is this a cheaper option?
Companies offering DIY company formation packs do not tell
you that once you've paid their fees you still need to pay
the Government fee of £20 plus solicitors fees for
witnessing the signature on the form 12 which can cost in
excess of £30. Then if you have any special requirements
that require amendments to the Memorandum and Articles of
Association you'll have to pay your solicitor yet more money.
The reality is that DIY incorporations are actually going
to cost you a minimum of £100 and that's before you
consider how much your time is worth and what else you could
be doing to get your new business started!
